On June 5th, Prof. Anthony Forster, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Essex, and his delegation visited USTB for communication and exchange. Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, and Prof. LYU Zhaoping, Vice President of USTB met with the delegation. The symposium was presided over by Prof. ZHANG Dawei, Director of the USTB Office of International Affairs.

Prof. LYU Zhaoping delivered a welcome speech
Prof. LYU Zhaoping introduced the characteristics of USTB to the guests and briefly reviewed the history of friendly cooperation between the two schools. He said that USTB aims at the forefront of world education and scientific research, constantly expands the path of international development, and deepens high-level global partnerships. As one of the key partners of USTB, he hoped that the two sides could explore the possibility of Chinese-foreign cooperation education and student exchange programs to promote common development.
Prof. Forster delivered a speech
Prof. Anthony Forester expressed his gratitude for the invitation and briefly introduced the history of the University of Essex and its achievements in recent years. He said this is the first stop of his visit to China after the COVID-19 pandemic. He hopes to further expand the cooperation between the two universities in talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation, cultural exchanges, and visits between teachers and students through this visit, and jointly promote the development strategy of globalization and internationalization.
